You are bidding on a sporty 1927 Chrysler Roadster, complete w/rumble seat. Title VIN H410698 and 64,827 miles on the odometer. This is a striking red w/ black trim car complete with wide whitewalls mounted on very good wooden-spoked wheels. A 4 cyl engine w/3 spd on the floor. It was driven in several parades up to 1989. A very solid car and older restoration with some minor interior work needed.
This vehicle is part of the Bob Bakewell Collection Estate Auction. Bob was an avid collector, member of several antique car clubs, and served as a judge at several antique auto shows. Bakewell was referred to as Nebraska’s “Chrysler Man” in the November 3, 2011 edition of Old Cars Weekly magazine. Bob passed away at an advanced age, but most of the cars in his collection were drivable when parked and always stored indoors. His family is selling 20 cars from his collection so that others may enjoy his hobby and legacy.
