You are bidding on a 1913 Excelsior Model 7C Motorcycle. 39886. Bill of Sale. The motorcycle is a Big 4hp Twin cylinder. Leather belt drive. Schebler Carb. Drip Feed lubrication. Eclipse clutch and belt tightener. Bosch magneto with manual spark advance. Rear Musselman hub. It is missing some parts such as pedals and may have other parts missing. Does not run. Les traded a slot machine for this motorcycle. The man that he got it from found it in storage in Little Falls- Enstrom’s Hardware. This was believed to be the same hardware store that sold Charles Lindberg his 1920 Excelsior. The man thought it odd that Engstrom would have kept this motorcycle carefully wrapped in canvas for all these years. Is it possible that Lindberg traded this motorcycle when he bought his 1920? Is it just a story? What a wonderful early American motorcycle with great color and mystery. Would be a great addition to your collection. Local pickup.
